The Privacy Policy took effect on January 14, 2013.

This Privacy Policy explains Fidito's policy regarding the collection, use, transfer, and disclosure of your information. Please periodically refer back to this policy because it may change as we improve and upgrade our products and services. You consent to our information and privacy practices by accessing or using Fidito.

What information do we collect and how do we use it?

We receive and store information, including personal information, about you and your use of our service. This information is gathered in a number of ways, including when you provide it to us or give us permission to obtain it, and when you use our service and provide technical information. Information that you provide to us or give permission to obtain includes name, email address, likes, location data such as when our service is used on a mobile phone, correspondence, search terms, queries, ratings, reviews, and any other information you provide us. If you choose to link your account to Google, Twitter, or Facebook, then information we obtain depends on their privacy policies and your privacy settings. When you use our products, we also obtain technical information such as log data, data from “cookies” and related technologies, and device data. Log data may include your browser type and settings, your usage of our products, the referring source such as a website or email link that you visited prior to visiting us, and your IP address. We may use cookies, clear gifs, pixel tags also known as web beacons, built-in application software, or similar or related technologies to obtain log data. We may use session cookies that last until your browser closes or persistent cookies that last until they are deleted by you or your browser. We may also collect information about the device from which you are using our products. Device information may include device type and settings, operating system, unique device identifiers, and other device specific data. Policies provided by your device manufacturer or operating system provider will help you know what information the device makes available to us.

Information that can be used to contact you or uniquely identify you is personal information. Information that is not personal information is non-personal Information. We use both types of information as well as in combination. If you choose to not provide personal information, we may not be able to provide you our products. We may use public information about you and information from other sources permitted by law, and add it to the personal information you provide.

We use the information we collect to provide our services, develop new products, improve products, personalize our products and content including advertisements for you, enforce our Terms, determine your internet service provider or general geographic location, correspond with you, protect our users and us, and provide recommendations. We may use, collect, transfer, and disclose non-personal information for any purpose. We may analyze, disclose to prospective partners and third parties, or otherwise use, in an aggregate or anonymous form, reviews, usage, and other information. We also use collected information to send you marketing materials, promotional material from relevant partners, responses to your comments or questions, newsletters, surveys, messages on new features and updates, special offers, and information that you may find interesting. Though you cannot unsubscribe from certain types of communication from you such as account transactions and correspondence, you can unsubscribe from other types of communication including marketing and promotional communication, using your account when you choose to set up an account. If and when we offer public forums and if you choose to post information in such public forums, anything you post is not subject to this privacy policy and is made public. If a third party uses information that you disclose in public using our products, then we are not responsible for such use.

Sharing and disclosure of information

We use third parties such as other companies or contractors or agents to perform services or advertising on our behalf and to provide platforms for our services. For example, we use Google services for our website and use Facebook and Twitter for you to share your Fidito usage. Our service contains links to third party sites whose terms and privacy policies may be different than described here and you should read them carefully. We also partner with other companies to manage surveys, produce and optimize and personalize our web pages, provide IT and infrastructure, and improve and analyze data. We use third-party advertising companies to serve advertisements. These companies may use information about your visits to Fidito and other websites to provide you ads you may be interested in. These companies may have access to your information while providing such services.

We aim to partner with reputable entities but we cannot be responsible for the privacy and data use practices of such entities. See privacy policies of Google, Twitter, and Facebook to see details including how they treat your information. Please be advised that your privacy settings on these third party sites and services do not control disclosure of information on Fidito. We do not authorize these other companies to disclose or use your personal information except to provide the services that we request from them. In addition, we may share your information within Fidito's sister sites, if any, that all follow practices that are consistent with the practices described herein.

Fidito reserves the right to disclose personal information if we believe that use, disclosure, access, or preservation of such information is necessary to (i) satisfy any applicable regulation, law, enforceable governmental request, or legal process, (ii) enforce applicable terms of use including investigation of potential violations, (iii) prevent, detect, or otherwise address technical issues, illegal or suspected illegal activities, or security issues, or (iv) protect against harm to the safety, property, or rights of Fidito, our users, or the public as required or permitted by law.

By using our products and services, you acknowledge and consent to the transfer of your information outside your country of residence to the United States or any other country where we operate, or partner with or use third parties. You understand that the level of information privacy and protection in the countries to which your information may be transferred may not be as comprehensive as in your country of residence.

If we engage in an acquisition, restructuring, merger or sale, reorganization, dissolution, bankruptcy, transfer of assets, or similar transaction or proceeding, we reserve the right to transfer information, including personal information.

Use by Children

To use our products and services, you must not be under 13 years of age. If you believe someone under 13 years of age has provided us information, then please contact us.

Choices you have about your information

Our product has built in the choices you have about your information. When we provide an account functionality, we will give you access to information about your account. It is your responsibility to update and ensure accuracy of your account information, and to make any changes to your communication preferences. You can also stop using our products and services at any time, or close your account if you have one. Please note that even after you stop using Fidito or close your account, we may retain archives of your information for legitimate business purposes including product development, or as required by law.

Changes to This Policy

We may make changes to this policy from time to time. If we make any changes, we will post the new version here. All previous versions are superseded by the Privacy Policy’s most current version. From time to time you should check back here for policy updates. If you continue to access and use our products and services after the changes go into effect, you agree that you are bound by the changes.
